Q: What is Poppy Seed Wash?

A: It is a beverage made with water and poppy seeds. It is also generically  known as poppy seed tea.

Q: Where do poppy seeds come from?

A: - Poppy seeds come from the poppy plant, scientifically known as (papaver Somniferum) They are harvested on farms like other agricultural products.

Q: How many bottles are needed?

A: It depends on the person. Some people prefer a partial bottle while experienced users may want more then one bottle per day.

Q: Is Poppy Seed Tea Legal?

A: Yes, These are the same species of seeds (Papaver Somniferum) you would find in the grocery store and in many foods.

Q: What are the difference between these poppy seeds and the ones you would find at the grocery store?

A: Poppy seed taste and quality varies significantly. Our seeds are specifically sourced for tea. Poppy seeds are grown all over the world and farming practices, soil quality, and the parent seeds make for significant ranges in quality. Our seeds are all natural, unwashed, and organic. 

Q: How do I prepare Poppy Seed Wash?

A: 1. Remove cap, fill one inch above poppy seed line with water. (Hot tap water works best, cold water ok, no boiling!)
2. Return cap and shake for a few minutes.
3. Slightly unscrew cap.
4. Turn upside down and squeeze/strain water out into a cup.
5. Turn right side up and tap bottom of bottle down on a firm surface to settle seeds out of the cap.
6. Remove cap completely, rinse seeds out of cap threading to ensure a tight seal for the next wash.
7. Repeat steps 1-6. The first 3 washes will be best.
8. Wet seeds spoil within a few hours. Dispose, or empty on a cooking sheet to dry for future cooking.
